{"id":320,"date":"2008-06-08T19:53:44","date_gmt":"2008-06-09T03:53:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lunabase.org\/~faber\/blog\/?p=320"},"modified":"2008-06-08T19:53:44","modified_gmt":"2008-06-09T03:53:44","slug":"tuning-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lunabase.org\/~faber\/blog\/?p=320","title":{"rendered":"Tuning up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I spent some time with my CFI, Andy, today under the hood.\u00c2\u00a0 Usually when I work with Andy I&#8217;m trying to log a couple approaches or holds to stay current, but today was just down and dirty IFR proficiency work.\u00c2\u00a0 Most of the day was not only under the hood, but partial panel under the hood.\u00c2\u00a0 That is flying the plane not only without being able to look out the window, but with a subset of the instruments as well.\u00c2\u00a0 We did some holding, some unusual attitudes and an approach.\u00c2\u00a0 We even got to bump through some turbulence as we did it, which was even better training.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s always stuff to work on, but basically things went well.
