{"id":2469,"date":"2017-11-18T11:03:01","date_gmt":"2017-11-18T19:03:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lunabase.org\/~faber\/blog\/?p=2469"},"modified":"2017-12-10T13:38:58","modified_gmt":"2017-12-10T21:38:58","slug":"review-the-ark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lunabase.org\/~faber\/blog\/?p=2469","title":{"rendered":"Review: The Ark"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I do enjoy me the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lunabase.org\/~faber\/BBC\/mouldering07.html#m07-e\">occasional<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lunabase.org\/~faber\/BBC\/mouldering00.html#m00-c\">potboiler<\/a>.\u00a0 <em>The Ark<\/em> falls squarely in that topic.\u00a0 It is Boyd Morrison&#8217;s tale of a two-fisted engineer and his beautiful archaeologist partner saving the world from a megachurch-founding Bond villain while racing to discover the secret behind Noah&#8217;s Ark.\u00a0 In some sense there&#8217;s nothing more to say.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll say a little more.<\/p>\n<p>I found this because I met the author&#8217;s sister a few times.\u00a0 That probably colors my review favorably, but I hope not too much.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a very well written, tightly plotted thriller.\u00a0 The plot&#8217;s intricate and zippy.\u00a0 This is a fun book to read on a plane or generally while the time away with.
