Television addiction? Well, if this is the case, why is it that I've been about to turn off the TV, get off the Internet, and get work done before? Heck, I've been able to turn it all off even when there was no work to do and I just wanted to listen to music, play guitar, etc. But tonight my brain is SHUT DOWN!!! It's because THE GOVERNMENT DOESN'T WANT ME TO KNOW THE ROLE OF SUBMARINE WARFARE IN WORLD WAR II. Or...... because there is something terribly important on the Letterman show tonight and God wants me to see it! It's as if I have a headache, but without the pain. You know what would hit the spot right now? I DON'T KNOW! so in the next few weeks, I have to a. finish another term paper b. plan and prepare for a trip to Seattle c. do all my other various schoolwork. d. go to sleep before midnight tonight, which I haven't done in months. e. wake up at 5:30 tomorrow morning. f. finish this post that's five things and I didn't even count all the biological functions I have to do to survive in all that time. and I saw on TV a program called "WHEN CHILDREN ACCUSE, WHO TO BELIEVE?" which was a news story about how this prosecutor basically brainwashed kids into testifying that their parents gave them every kind of bad touch imaginable, and parents went to jail for twelve years before the charges were finally dismissed. Now I'm afraid that I'll be walking around and some D.A. will be driving some kid around town and I'll be one of the people he/she points at at random. Then I'll go to jail and get bad touch. And before that I saw about how James Earl Ray claims his confession was wrung out of him by the FBI and stuff who set him up for the Martin Luther King assassination, and whatnot.... and I won't claim to know what all happened; I wasn't there, but when I saw where MLK was when he got shot, and where the bullets came from, I thought, oh no, what if I go to Seattle and someone caps Bill Gates and it looks as if it came from where I'm staying? That's not how I want to get on TV. before that long ago, I wondered, what if new year's eve, I stay home deliberately ignoring last-minute Y2K stuff and, as a result, I get flung back in time to the year 1900? Luckily, Altoids still existed back then... but that's about it. Oh, and I can type but, white-out didn't exist. I'd have to be a journalist. And I'd die of polio or smallpox before I got the chance to kill Hitler. Hmm.. my brainpower seems to be returning slowly, but at a rather inconvenient hour. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
