The Galaxy 4 communications satellite, which carries 90% of all pager
traffic, is spinning out of control (apparently reeling from tonight's
broadcast of the TV-movie remake of "Gargantua", which was a ripoff
of the remake of "Godzilla", which will probably prompt another
remake of "Godzilla" just so the three "Godzilla"s can go beat up the
two "Gargantua"s.)  Major infotainment services such as The Airport Network
have gone black (along with the 90% of pagers that are used by drug dealers.)

However, Usenet is still working just fine.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:  The communications media
just do not work.  Usenet is superior to any communication medium because
of its self-regulating nature:  whenever communication shows signs of
developing on Usenet, Usenet evolves into something different to prevent
the wayward flow of content.  Usenet will never break 'cause it's
ALWAYS broken, and we like it that way!
